Decorate the Dress Contest

Begins Monday, May 23, 2011 and Ends Sunday, June 19, 2011

Contest Rules:

1. DRESS: The dress must be made by following the tutorial included on this site. If you do not sew, you can purchase a pre-made dress for only $2.50 USD plus postage on Etsy (PayPal purchases only). I will provide a link to the Etsy shop once I have listed some pre-made dresses.
2. ENTRIES: No more than two entries per person.
3. SUBMISSIONS: Submissions must be uploaded to the Flickr group called Decorate the Dress in order to qualify. Please, post your photos at the same time so your BEFORE and AFTER pictures are next to each other.
4. PHOTOS: Submissions must include one photo of your Pullip Doll in the dress BEFORE decoration and one photo of your Pullip Doll wearing the dress AFTER decoration in order to qualify. Please don’t use a cell phone camera unless you are able to upload a good quality photograph.
5. NAME YOUR DESIGN: Give your dress design a name and include it in the BEFORE and AFTER photograph descriptions to aid in judging.
6. DUE DATE: Submissions are due by midnight Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, June 19, 2011. This allows for international Pullip lovers an opportunity to purchase pre-made dresses and have them decorated prior to the deadline.
7. JUDGING: Judges will be determined by KerriaRosette. All contest winner decisions are final. Judging will be only of the dress, not of the photograph as a whole; however, feel free to be creative. As long as the dress can be viewed clearly, the sky is the limit in your photography. If you’re not a good photographer, don’t worry. Your dress is what counts.
8. FAVORITES: The number of “favorites” on a dress is helpful in judging, but may not be what makes your dress a winner.
9. ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS: The Decorate the Dress Contest winners (First, Second and Third Place) will be announced by Friday, June 24, 2011. Winners will have up to five days to claim their prizes by email. Winners can provide personal mailing addresses by emailing info@kerriarosette.com. All personal information will remain confidential. There is no postage charge to receive your prize. All prizes will be mailed by United States Postal Service with tracking numbers if mailed within the U.S. All international mailings will not have tracking numbers and will be mailed by the United States Postal Service.
10. UNCLAIMED PRIZES: KerriaRosette reserves the right to award any unclaimed prizes to another contestant.

About Decorating the Dress:

1. The skirt can be lengthened or shortened.
2. Any fabric, color or print is permitted.
3. Decorating doesn’t mean sewing. Feel free to use glue, add ribbons, buttons or any other method you choose as long as your BEFORE photograph shows you followed the tutorial.
4. Sleeves, stockings, socks, hats, shoes and other accessories can be added as you like.
5. Remember to give your decorated dress a name to make judging manageable.
